Bright Stars Dimmed: MSSN B-Zone Mourns Profound Losses
In the last 24 hours, the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, B-Zone and the broader Ummah have experienced an immeasurable sense of loss with the passing of two exceptional individuals whose lives were wholly devoted to the service of Allah and the upliftment of the Ummah.

The first, a distinguished Islamic scholar and preacher Sheikh Muhyideen Ajani Bello, passed away unexpectedly yesterday morning. A father and renowned personality with immense knowledge, wisdom, and contribution to society, his messages resonated across the nation, touching and changing the lives of people. A shining star and a lighthouse of inspiration, his memories will be kept alive in the hearts of the Ummah for all times to come. Yesterday, he was laid to rest amidst an outpouring of prayers and love from the entire Ummah that he served so unselfishly.

Later that evening, news came of the passing of yet another dedicated servant of Islam, the Eastern Dawah Coordinator of MSSN B-Zone, Engr. Bashir Mohmoh. He was an indefatigable da’wah worker and an uncompromising ambassador of Islamic values, he had been instrumental in spreading the message of Islam across the Eastern region of the country. His zeal, commitment, and leadership left an indelible mark on MSSN and the communities he dealt with. He will be buried today while the Salatu Janazah will hold after Salaatu Zuhr at MSSN National Secretariat, Abdul-Lateef Adegbite Jumu’ah Mosque, Gwarimpa, Abuja
These profound losses have been a heavy blow to the MSSN B-Zone and the entire Ummah. Their absence, occasioned by the exit of these two monumental figures, is a void that is felt so deep and hard to fill.
We extend our heartfelt sympathies to their families, friends, and all those whose lives they touched. May Allah, Subhanaahu Wa Ta’ala, give strength and Sabr to the grieving families during this time. May Allah forgive their shortcomings, widen their graves, and elevate their ranks in Jannah.
Signed:
Dr. Mas’ud Kolawole (Asqolani)
Amir, Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, B-Zone
